Smart TV Casting
In this guide, we'll walk you through the most common ways to cast Motive for Murder to your Smart TV. You will still use your device to interact with the game, this simply mirrors what is shown on your device.

Select Your Browser
To determine the browser you are using, check the name and logo in the top-left corner or open the browser's menu and select "About" or "Help."
Casting from Google Chrome to a Smart TV (Android/Windows):
Requirements:

A Smart TV with Chromecast built-in or a TV with an external Chromecast device.

Your PC/Android tablet and the Chromecast must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Steps:

Open Google Chrome on your PC or Android tablet.

Click the three-dot menu icon on the top-right corner of Chrome.

Select "Cast…" from the dropdown menu.

In the Cast tab, look for the "Sources" button to select what you want to cast. Choose “Cast tab” to share the current tab's contents.

From the list of available devices, select your smart TV or Chromecast device.

Your entire web tab will now be visible on your TV screen.
Casting from Safari to an Apple TV:
Requirements:

An Apple TV or an AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
-
Your Mac/iPad and the Apple TV must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Steps for Mac:

On your Mac, click the AirPlay icon (a rectangle with a triangle at the bottom) in the menu bar at the top of your screen.

Choose your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV from the list.

If a passcode appears on your TV screen, enter it on your Mac.

Open Safari and the tab you want to cast. The entire web tab should now be mirrored to your TV.
Steps for iPad:

Swipe down from the upper-right corner to access the Control Center and tap the AirPlay icon (a rectangle with a triangle at the bottom).

Select your Apple TV or an AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.

Enter the AirPlay passcode if required.

Open Safari and the tab you wish to cast will appear on your TV.
Tips:

Ensure that the Safari browser does not have the "Mirroring" option selected as it will cast the whole screen instead of just the tab.
Casting from Microsoft Edge to a Smart TV:
Requirements:

A Smart TV with Miracast support or a device like Chromecast.

Your PC and the Miracast or Chromecast device must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Steps:

Open Microsoft Edge on your PC.

Click the three-dot menu icon (often referred to as the "ellipsis") on the top-right corner of Edge.

Hover over the "More tools" option.
-
Select "Cast media to device" from the dropdown menu.

A list of available devices will appear. Select your smart TV or Chromecast device from the list.

The web tab you have open in Microsoft Edge will now be cast to your TV.
Tips:

Ensure your TV's casting or mirroring feature is enabled, and your PC and TV are discoverable.

Some smart TVs might require enabling a "Screen Mirroring" or "Project" setting before they can receive a cast from your device.

If casting doesn't work initially, ensure your Microsoft Edge browser is updated to the latest version.
Casting from Firefox to a Smart TV:
Requirements:

A Smart TV with Miracast support or a device like Chromecast.

Your PC or device and the Miracast or Chromecast device must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

The "fx_cast" extension installed on your Firefox browser.
Steps:

First, add the "fx_cast" extension to Firefox. This extension adds Chromecast support to Firefox, allowing you to cast videos and your entire screen. You can find it on the Firefox Add-ons website.

After installing the "fx_cast" extension, you'll see a Cast icon in the Firefox toolbar.

Open the web tab you want to cast in Firefox.

Click on the Cast icon in the toolbar.

The extension will search for available devices. From the list, select your smart TV or Chromecast device.

The content of your Firefox tab will now be cast to your TV.
Tips:

If your TV does not appear in the list of available devices, ensure it's turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your casting device.

Since "fx_cast" relies on a separate bridge application to handle communication with receiver devices, you may also need to install the "fx_cast Bridge" software on your machine.

Casting performance may vary based on the website and video content, so it's good to test out various sites to see what works best for your setup.
